Here are three posibilities, how you can commission your audiobook from me:

PFH

per finished audiobook‒hour

The standard for payment of a finished audiobook without royalty splitting is based on the cost per finished hour (=PFH). Finished hour here of course means the spoken audio book hour and not how long it takes me.

How many words are in an audiobook hour?
10.000 words = approx. 1 audiobook-hour
How much do I pay for your recording?
300 euros per spoken audio book hour. But I am open to talking about the pricing...
How will your audiobook be published?
I will send you the files in WAV and MP3 and you can then publish on any platform that suits your needs. I would recommend ACX though, because there you automatically publish on Amazon, Audible and Itunes.
How much can I dictate how my book should sound?
Basically: Your book! Your work! Your baby! In the conversations we have beforehand, we will talk in detail about how you envision the project being done. And that's exactly what I'll do. I will send you demos before I actually start, so that you can give me feedback on whether it suits you.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes, I will issue a legally valid invoice.

No costs for you ‒ the most popular option!

No matter whether the budget is not available at the moment or you simply prefer this version. If you don't want to pay for the entire audiobook production upfront, you can opt for the royalty sharing option.

No, because you don't have to pay me; we will share the revenue.
What does royalty sharing mean?
I will publish your book on ACX. As soon as someone buys it, we'll split the revenue.
What is ACX?
ACX stands for Audiobook Creation Exchange and is owned by Amazon. Accordingly, we automatically publish on iTunes, Audible and Amazon.
Who is publishing the audio book?
Theoretically, you could. However, bear in mind that you would need to be a resident of Canada, Ireland, the UK or the USA. BUT don't worry; your book is your name. When I publish, I will only be credited as the narrator. It is and remains your work.
How much can I dictate how my book should sound?
Basically: Your book! Your work! Your baby! In the conversations we have beforehand, we will talk in detail about how you envision the project being done. And that's exactly what I'll do. I will send you demos before I actually start so that you can give me feedback on whether it suits you.
Are we going to sign a contract?
Yes, we will conclude a contract in which we stipulate the following, among other things: - which platform will be used for publication - percentage royalty share (+payout plan) - full audiobook licenses etc.
May I also publish the audiobook on other platforms?
If you would like to receive your audiobook in WAV and MP3 for publication on other platforms in addition to ACX, I will sell you full licenses to my work at a mutually agreed price.

Royalty Share +

the special mix ‒ later on there's more for you!

Royalty Share + is a hybrid option. Here you pay a reduced PFH up front and we share the revenue, i.e. there is also a royalty share here - but not 50/50, but 70/30.

Does it matter how many audiobook hours are recorded?
Yes, but with Royalty Share+ you pay a very reduced amount per spoken audio hour. The price here is €100 per audio book hour.
What is different about royalty sharing compared to Royaly Share?
Unlike Royalty Share, where we share the revenue equally, Royalty Share + offers you the advantage of keeping 70% of the revenue.

Thanks to any number of correction loops, you don't need to worry about this. Normally the recording is perfect the first time - but if you have any requests for changes, please let me know. I'll immediately get back to the microphone and revise the recording.

If you have not ordered an audiobook from me, but a VoiceOver, then you pay 19 euros per 50 words.
